Determining Mental Health Status Using Journal Entries and Promoting Accountability
Develop a model that can recognize the mental state of the user from a Journal entry and make suitable recommendations for overall well-being. In this 8-week challenge, you will join a collaborative team of 50 AI engineers from all around the world.
The problem
Emotional, psychological, and social well-being all contribute to what is known as “mental health.” It influences our perceptions, emotions, and behaviors. It also plays a role in influencing our stress responses, interpersonal connections, and dietary and exercise preferences. From infancy and youth through maturity, maintaining good mental health is crucial. 42% of Genz & Millennials claim that they are being affected by mental health, and according to the latest Deloitte report, Mental Health is their #3 concern. Genz & Millenials use digital tools to seek support when they want to improve their emotional state. Solutions for well-being need to bring back accountability to people about themselves, with proactive emotional fitness solutions.
This Omdena-Thraive project aims to develop an AI-Based Journal, which would be built on a model that can learn from each journal entry to make notifications, review, evaluate and recognize the subscriber’s well-being process. The purpose of this is to uplift the accountability of the subscribers towards their own emotional fitness, from their own insights, evolution, perspectives, and growth.
The project goals
The main goal of this project is the creation of an AI-Assisted Journal which can detect the mental state of the user based on journal entries and present insights to promote accountability toward one’s own mental health.
Project Scope:
- Partial data is available and data collection needs to be done through relevant sources
- Work towards the development of an AI-Based journal
- The journal will be able to make notifications, review, evaluate and recognize the subscriber’s well-being process
- The notifications will be reports on percentages, trends, patterns, sentiment analysis results
- The team will be working with textual data
