Identifying Motion-Based Actions to Reduce Carbon Footprint Using Motion Sensors
This is a paid opportunity. In order to be eligible to apply for this project, you need to be part of the Omdena community and have finished at least one AI Innovation Challenge.
You can find our upcoming AI Innovation Challenges at https://omdena.com/projects.
The problem
“Our lifestyles define our CO2 footprint, but most people don’t know how much carbon they emit in daily life, and they have no idea that they can make a radical difference with just a few small changes”, providing an opportunity for individuals to be conscious about their CO2 footprints, and create an incentive for people to walk or use public transportation and thus support more sustainable lifestyle.
In this project, the Omdena team will be working with data collected from mobile phone sensors to identify the motion-based actions of individuals.
The project goals
Building an AI engine to identify motion-based actions like driving, biking, scooter, etc., using phone sensor data (location, speed, acceleration).
