Improving Cognitive Abilities Through an AI-Driven Gamified Training System

Develop a model that can create a unique and effective training schedule for individuals to increase their cognitive capabilities. In this 8-week challenge, you will join a collaborative team of 50 AI engineers from all around the world.

The problem

The problem that this Omdena-CogniFit Challenge is addressing is the need for an effective and personalized training routine for users to improve their cognitive abilities. The traditional training methods may not be optimal for all users and may not provide the level of engagement needed to maintain their interest. The CogniFit Challenge aims to solve this problem by using artificial intelligence to create a customized training session for each user based on their individual abilities and preferences. This will result in a more engaging and effective training experience for the users and contribute to their overall cognitive improvement.

The project goals

This Omdena-CogniFit Challenge will consist of creating an API, that, using AI provides as output the optimal next session of training routine for a given user. The AI system should learn and provide the best 2 games and their difficulty levels to build the next training session for the user by optimizing the following: 

1. User engagement.

2. Cognitive improvement.

CogniFit will offer the following inputs for the API: 

1. The user ID, age, gender, language, and other demographics.

2. The user cognitive assessment results that ranks each user’s cognitive abilities in order of ability strength.

3. A pool of more than 50 games with a wide number of difficulty levels for each game. 

The challenge is to create a system that: 

1. Becomes better as more users use it and that can work as an API.

2. Is flexible to absorb new games into the learning model.
