Dr. Moath

Dr. Moath Awawdeh (Senior Member IEEE, CS) has a Ph.D. in Control Engineering – Mathematical Engineering and Simulation from the University of Genova in Italy with extensive experience in training and development of educational schemes and engineering curriculum. His main research area includes outlier detection, data mining, embedded system, moving horizon estimation, and artificial intelligence. He is coordinating the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning research group and leading the UAE local chapter for Omdena. During the last 12 years, he participated in local and international research and development projects as well as served as a consultant for various projects. He is a senior member of IEEE, BSE, JEA, PHASWEEWOG, and many academic committees, as well as his, contributed to editorial activities, such as editor-in-chief for JAETS journal, Omdena JAII, Co-Chair of ASET, and serving as a reviewer for different international journal and conferences. Dr. Awawdeh is contributing to Industry-Academia research development by leading and co-leading research projects, where he has secured different funded projects, recently working on the problem of measurement validation for the DSS system with a group of scholars; which lead to different peer-reviewed articles and proceeding as well as supporting the industry with their R&D with a proven record of Scopus-based publications and commercial proposals. With a passion for community development, Dr. Awawdeh is working closely with individual professionals to help them develop their personal learning path and professional development plan. Some of his latest projects to the industry include an integrated network for emergencies (spin-off, Italy), ISD win-win (Italy-Bahrain), Design and development of an intelligent waste bin (funded-UAE), and recently Measurement Validation Models for DSS (funded-UAE). He is a member of different fast-growing companies such as Ai-Enabled Consultancy and Capacity-Building, TechSierra Solutions, and many others. With the current trends of online training and teaching, Dr. Awawdeh has been certified as Blackboard Expert (highest certificate in digital teaching and learning) together with a bunch of competency-based training including IoT and embedded systems, Jetson Nano and deep learning, intelligent system and prototyping as well as comprehensive and Nano courses in data science and applied AI.

Tariq

Tariq Jamil is an AI/ML Engineer|Data Scientist, passionate about leveraging AI & Business Intelligence to drive transformative solutions in Computer Vision and NLP. He is actively engaged in research-cum-freelance projects leveraging AI/ML in domains like petrochemicals, video activity/emotions understanding, and leveraging LLMs for customized chatbots & contextual and semantic tasks. In addition to his AI expertise, Tariq has valuable experience as a former Chief Engineer at Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). He successfully led workshops focused on avionics/aerospace component maintenance and played a key role as a project manager in implementing an MRO IT solution in the Engineering department.
