    About Chapter Leads

    Bernardino

    Bernardino lives and works in Milan, Italy, where he was born and raised. He has an M.A. in Philosophy from New York University (where he was a visiting professor) and a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Science from the University of Genoa. He has worked as a management consultant specializing in strategy for Bain & Co., Prometeia, and as an investment banker in Interbanca, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions. As a consultant, in recent years he has focused on the cultural and creative industries, supporting some of the major players and projects in Italy. A self-taught programmer, his main interests lie in AI (and more specifically NLP) and functional languages. In his spare time, is an avid reader, a compulsive book buyer, and a guitar player, with a keen interest in all genres of music.

    Maria

    Maria Fisher is a Biologist. At the beginning of her career, Maria dedicated herself to environmental education and conservation and to the sustainable development of communities around protected areas. Following an interest in microorganism studies, Maria did a specialization in Biochemistry at the State University of Londrina, where she defended her thesis on phosphate solubilization by endophytic bacteria in sunflower. With the aim of continuing to study microorganisms and the impacts of climate change, Maria completed her Masters in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security from the University of Exeter, where she defended her thesis on the impacts of climate change on toxigenic fungi that affect coffee. Maria is part of the EstatiDados Community, GeoAI and a volunteer at Omdena – Milan, where she develops AI for Sustainable Agri-Foods - The use of Satellite Imagery project.

    Mulugheta

    Dr. Mulugheta T. SOLOMON is currently working for The Information Lab Italia (Milan) as a Tableau and Alteryx consultant/ Data Academy Consultant. Dr. Mulugheta T. SOLOMON has a Ph.D. in Management of Innovation in the Agricultural and Food Systems (Postharvest Technology) with two master's degrees (MSc) in Data Science and Mediterranean Organic Agriculture and a BSc in Plant Sciences/ Horticulture. He has worked as a research and teaching graduate assistant in an agricultural college, data/information management assistant, counselor/Interpreter, and cultural mediator in international humanitarian organizations in multiple countries: Eritrea, Italy, Spain, and Romania.
